Donald Kipkorir’s Tweet and Kenyan Reactions

Prominent Kenyan lawyer, Donald B Kipkorir, recently took to Twitter to express his thoughts on the behavior of the current Cabinet ministers in Kenya. In his tweet, Kipkorir drew a comparison to Singapore’s transformation from a third-world country to a first-world nation under the leadership of Lee Kuan Yew. He highlighted the importance of Cabinet ministers prioritizing the nation’s interests over personal gain, as seen in Singapore.

Singapore moved from THIRD WORLD to FIRST WORLD in one generation under Lee Kuan Yew because his Cabinet loved Singapore above self. No ONE SINGLE MINISTER made one dollar above their salaries. Our Current Cabinet love SELF over the NATION. Their personal wealth in less than TWO YEARS has grown THOUSANDFOLD whilst Kenya’s economy is trying to avoid collapse. President William Ruto has to jettison most if not entire Cabinet & bring in people that love Kenya. Abraham Lincoln is US greatest President because he appointed to his Cabinet exceptional Americans who disliked him but loved America. Lincoln’s Cabinet was called TEAM OF RIVALS. A Country only succeeds when love for self is subordinated to love for Country.

Kipkorir criticized the current Kenyan Cabinet, stating that they prioritize self-interests over the nation. He claimed that their personal wealth has grown significantly in just two years while the country’s economy is struggling. Kipkorir urged President William Ruto to replace most, if not the entire Cabinet, with individuals who have a genuine love for Kenya.

In response to Kipkorir’s tweet, Twitter users shared their own perspectives on the matter. One user, Msomi, offered a satirical response, suggesting that President Ruto may not be able to fulfill the expectations set by Kipkorir, as he himself serves as a role model to his Cabinet ministers. The user humorously questioned the likelihood of Kenya becoming the next Singapore.

Another user, Charles Kimani, diverted the focus to President Ruto, highlighting that the President also has his share of scandals and questioning his cleanliness. Kimani mentioned that corruption is viewed as a badge of honor in Kenya, and the more corrupt one is, the more they are praised.

Moseka echoed Kipkorir’s sentiment, emphasizing that the discussion should start with whether Ruto loves Kenya above himself. The user expressed disappointment in Ruto and his ministers, labeling them as a circus of cartels with criminal and corruption cases.

Kuria WA Njuguna mentioned that Ruto’s wealth has been accumulated in a similar way to the Cabinet ministers. The user believes that until Kenya votes for a leader without any tainted past, the country will continue to face challenges. They expressed the desire for the era of “civic consciousness” to prevail.

Faith expressed support for President Ruto, stating that he doesn’t need political support in the future but rather the support of the people. The user believes that if visionary ministers, even from the opposition, are appointed and can transform Kenya, it would be a positive step.

The reactions to Donald Kipkorir’s tweet reflect the diverse opinions and concerns of Kenyans regarding the behavior of Cabinet ministers and the need for leadership focused on the betterment of the country. It is important to note that these opinions expressed on Twitter represent the views of specific individuals and may not necessarily reflect the overall sentiment of the population.
