The components of the Lord’s Prayer

  1. Addressing God as our father – “ Our Father”
  2. honouring God’s Holy name – “ Hallowed be the name”
  3. Declaring the coming of God’s Kingdom – “Thy  Kingdom come”
  4. Ask for God’s provision – “ Give us our daily bread”
  5. Asking God to forgive our sins as we forgive those who offend us.
  6. Asking God not to lead us into temptations and to give us power to resist them – “   
  7. and lead  us not into temptation.
