Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal Football Club, has signed a new five-year contract with the club. The Norway international joined Arsenal on loan from Real Madrid in January 2021 and made a permanent move to the club in August 2021. Odegaard’s new contract will keep him at Arsenal until the summer of 2028.
During his time at Arsenal, Odegaard has made 112 appearances in all competitions, scoring 27 goals and providing 15 assists. He was named Arsenal’s Player of the Season in the previous season and was also included in the PFA Team of the Year. Odegaard’s performances earned him nominations for various awards, including Premier League Player of the Season and Premier League Young Player of the Season.
