Explain seven safety precautions observed when spraying herbicides.

  1. Wear protective clothing such as gloves overalls and boots
  2. Avoid inhaling herbicides by not smoking while spraying
  3. Read manufacturer’s instructions and following them strictly
  4. Avoid sucking blocked nozzles
  5. Wash thoroughly immediately after handling the herbicides
  6. Keep the herbicides safely out of reach of children
  7. Do not wash the equipment used for herbicides in water sources
  8. Avoid chemical spillage in water sources
  9. Avoid handling food before washing
